I have seen long queues outside Apple stores, when the iPhone was launched last year. And also have seen people thronging the corridor of Apple stores when the iPhone was supposedly out of stock in May. We are never tired of waiting when we are sure that we are going to get something worth the effort. This is totally new, people have gone a step forward from the normal convention. Here in Sydney, a new trend has just started. There was this new Apple Store just opened. And you know what? Many people had already gathered before the door was thrown open.

The best part of the story is many of those who were standing there did not know why they were standing there at all. When asked, ‘What will you buy?’ The most common answer was ‘Will buy something?’ What is this ‘SOMETHING?’ Is this a sign of getting hooked to Apple? Or is this a new charm of Apple Stores? Seriously, I like this. From now on, opening of new Apple Stores anywhere in the world will no longer be a silent ceremony. This crazy and rare moment is going to be a landmark for all Apple fans. Openings of Apple Stores from now on will be synonymous to the feasts of fun, faithfulness, craziness, greatness, etc, etc. Many of us stood there not knowing exactly what to buy, yet there were hundreds of us. When the 3G iPhone finally comes, I cannot imagine the crowd that we might see, as we will all know what to buy.….
