1 Million 3G iPhones Sold in Three Days
It’s not even a week since the launch of 3G iPhone. There were slow sales report from everywhere on i-Day when the App Store was down for a few hours. Many people wrote about their disappointment on not getting the gadget so soon. Now here is the report of 3G iPhone sale from around the world.
The one millionth 3G iPhone has already been sold. Here is what Steve Jobs said regarding this:
iPhone 3G had a stunning opening weekend, It took 74 days to sell the first one million original iPhones, so the new iPhone 3G is clearly off to a great start around the world.
Now we are hearing from every corner about limited stock, supply being outnumbered by demand, the sales record has still far way to go. This is just the beginning.
The launch of App Store also happens to be another hit for Apple. Application download has reached an unexpected high of 10 million in three days. Steve Jobs is even more happy with this and said:
The App Store is a grand slam, with a staggering 10 million applications downloaded in just three days; Developers have created some extraordinary applications, and the App Store can wirelessly deliver them to every iPhone and iPod touch user instantly.
This is an eye-opener for those who didn’t believe that the iPhone will be a great success. This is just the beginning; we are ready for more surprises.
