Here is a surprise for those people who thought that unlocking the 3G iPhone will take a long time or thought that such thing will never happen. The phone has been unlocked exactly four days from the date of its launch.

We are not talking about software to unlock the phone. Some guys in Brazil have found out a way to fool the phone to accept a simulated International Mobile Subscriber Identity (IMSI) as the SIM card of the original service provider. The technique works as you can see from this demo.

You may be able to hold an unlocked 3G iPhone any day from now. However, there is not much detail on this yet, keep waiting for more.
