Today (July 7, 2008) is the last day for developers to submit apps, if they want their apps to be available when the App Store goes live on 11^th July. Apple has notified this to developers around the world. By now, there must be a decent number of apps ready for the great day. With the countdown getting nearer, everyone is eager to know what applications are already in store for iPhone owners.

It is certain that App Store would be up and running when 3G is launched on July 7, 2008. At this stage, some developers are saying that the App Store could go live few days before the launch of 3G iPhone. No one is sure about this of course, and Apple is tight lipped as usual. The notification for application submission has however hinted that, App Store might go live as early as Tuesday. Not even the developers who have submitted applications can be sure about this, as they also likely to get the go live notice just few hours before the launch.
