Bye bye BlackBerry, buy an iPhone

That is what Adam Nash says in his blog. Nash has been an avid BlackBerry follower for 7 years. But recently he and some of his colleagues have switched over from BlackBerry to iPhone and enjoying. It seems that Apple has stolen the thunder from right under BlackBerry’s nose. The smartphone pioneers and leaders, if not yet in scare mode, are certainly in a point of bother.

Now, why would you prefer to buy an iPhone over a BlackBerry? We think Apple out-smarts BlackBerry and other smart phones on three basic parameters:

1. The sleek-o-meter. Touch screen, smoothness, the look and the efficiency. (BlackBerry looks a bit bulky, if you ask me.)
2. Really smart technical features like the embedded safari browser vis-à-vis the windows 1995 browser, for instance.

and finally,

3. Of course the App store.

The comments and comparisons between iPhone and other smartphones are running riot. However, Nash hits the pins the nail at the right spot when he says:

“I’m never going back.  My string of 3 BlackBerry models is at an end, just like the 2 Palm Pilots, and the Newton Messagepad 2000 before it. I’m all about the iPhone now.  The BlackBerry is dead to me.”

May be RIM failed to keep up pace with the smart movements in the domain where they were the pathbreakers once.
