iPhone hits store today
iPhone makes its international debut today. The long wait for Apple fanatics worldwide has come to an end. However, the device is not being released in 70 countries as part of the July worldwide rollout.
Apple continues its stratagem of locking its device exclusively to a single telecom carrier in most of the countries. The iPhone service providers are AT & T in the United States, O2 in Great Britain, T_Mobile in Germany, and Orange in France.
Due to time differences, iPhones are on sale first in New Zealand, later Australia, then Japan and Hongkong.
