Update: WordPress App Source Code Available
Wordpress has started sharing the source code of the iPhone Word Press App from 24th. The code has been released via the SVN. The latest development build is available at “trunk” . This allows the developers to fix bugs, add to the existing codes and enhance the overall WordPress blogging experience from the iPhone.
However, it will be interesting to see how Apple reacts to this since they have retained their NDA (non-disclosure agreement) even after the launch of the 3G iPhone on July 11. WordPress’s open source philosophy certainly does not conform to it. If they do allow WordPress to go ahead with this, we might see quite a few other third-party developers placing their source code at the App Store.
Meanwhile, developers will probably be busy trying to fix one of the very few complaints about WordPress in iPhone. The application so far lacks the cut-paste facility.
