This application is not meant for curing insomnia or stress or any sickness, this is just a soothing fantasy creating application.

aSleep is an application with a difference. It may not cure acute insomnia, but will definitely lull you to sleep by carrying you off to a place you love. The power of imagination is let loose with this application deployed by Signs Studios under Healthcare and Fitness category.

The latest version of aSleep has 50 different sounds, a mixture of natural, musical instruments and other sounds we hear around us: A great improvement compared to the earlier version. You can select any of the sounds, plug in the earphone, adjust the volume and imagine yourself to be in the place where you usually hear the selected sound and fall asleep slowly. You can have a trance like experience wherever you want to doze off. Neat idea indeed. The natural sounds such as beach, rain, waterfall, night camp, garden, wind, etc sounds so real.

The application is retailed at $0.99, which I think is reasonable considering the present price of drugs to minimize stress and insomnia. This is a perfect lullaby for grownups and may reduce your bills intake if you believe in fantasy, seriously. Sorry, this application is not meant for curing insomnia or stress or any sickness, this is just a soothing fantasy creating application.

The application is cool, but I somehow miss the sound of bagpiper and would love to have it too. And one thing, the default volume is too loud. It is better to keep the sound setting at the minimum level so that users can adjust the sound after starting the application other than getting irritated on hearing a blasting sound on starting. At present I always have to go to the volume and reduce the volume for all the sounds. To doze off, keeping the volume somewhat low is the rule.

Sounds good; can’t get it to download on macbook, iMac, or iphone. Keep getting a message to resync the phone and download the app in iTunes. Well, uh, duhhh, doesn’t work.

    Hello GA N
Sounds strange, it just worked fine for me both ways. The earlier version I downloaded on my Mac and the for the updated version I just delete the older version and downloaded directly onto my iPhone using Wi-Fi connection. Try contacting Support, it could be some software problem possibly.
