Apple spokesperson, Jennifer Bowcock has finally written something that will stop spreading rumors about the security flaw with the iPhone.  She has further clarified that the issue will be fixed in the next firmware update in September. After all this has nothing to do with the hardware as speculated by Zdziarski.

The minor iPhone security issue, which surfaced this week, is fixed in a software update which will be released in September.

When September comes, we will see a permanent fix for this “minor security issue” that has created more news and wild fire than the burning of R&D section of Apple building.
