Box Office back on the App Store as Now Playing

The Box Office app, which had mysteriously disappeared, now has come back to the App Store with a different name. Search for “Now Playing (Formerly:Box Office).” YES, not only a new name, but also a longer one.

The movie listing application was moved out from the App Store presumably because of trademark conflict. Now the name is changed, though it has Box Office attached so people don’t get confused. The developer of Box Office, Cyrus Najmabadi, is simply happy that the application is welcomed back to the store:

I’ve gotten confirmation that they’re working to restore my app on the store, and I got an apology for the length of time it took to respond to me. I’m very happy by this turn of events, and I’m glad that apple will be letting me stay in the store.

App Store shoppers too are glad to see this handy application back.
