Decisive iPhone apps!
Are you a natural gambler or a born philosopher? Are you a great believer in chance factors? Are you perennially in the Hobson’s choice zone? There are two weird apps in the app store, one in the entertainment category, another in the utilities category to help you solve all you dilemmas. And they do that with the simplest solutions of all-time. For all your problems –they give you the answer yes/no.
First the queer one. iFlip the Coin, launched yesterday is an app that lets you “flip” a coin with your iPhone. Tap the screen to flip. When you flip a coin real time, you are at least sure about the reality of randomness. What is the surety of randomness of a digitally-coded randomness? Another thing I am puzzled about is what this app doing in the “Utilities” category. And then, who is going to pay $0.99 for this app?
iChoose is a slightly better way to counter your indecisiveness for a number of reasons. First, it gives you more options: You can flip a coin, or roll a dice or choose a card. Best thing, however, is that this comes for free.
So here’s an idea: get iChoose, and then toss a coin, or roll the dice to decide whether you want to purchase iFlip the Coin. Making decisions and taking chances have never been this easy!
