iPhone: Top 3 Weird Apps
Some things in the App land continue to be puzzling. Here’s our selection of some apps that have no real application value.
1. Mind Warp: Mind-boggling, rather. An app that does not make any use of the iPhone’s touch facilities. What is the best way to pass a Sunday afternoon when you badly want to go out and have fun but cannot do so because it is raining badly? Go for optical illusions. Well, I like that. And was browsing just for that in the app store, wondering whether I could get something in oredr to get lost. I ran a search in the App Store with the words “Optical Illusion.”
The app makes use of the same techniques that you see in any paper version. Endless swirls on which you need to concentrate. Concentrate on the swirling animation for 30 seconds. Take your eye off the screen and look at your palm instead. You will find your hand (or every relatively small object) spinnig.
2. Touch Scan: This up reads your mind from your thumb impression. It reads the minds of two people, calculates their brain waves and checks their interpersonal compatibility level. Don’t take it lightly. Reportedly it has broken someone’s marriage.
3. iMatrix: This is a very interesting app if you are a big fan of the Matrix movie. This one is basically one green-coded photoshop effect without the photoshop advantages of zooming and edting. You cannot e-mal these images either. About the looks? Well, if it were free I would have certainly advised you to take a look! Not bad, no way, but it seems that the green rain of codes are mal-functioning a little bit.
Do you see any connection between these? Yes, they all are all supposed to “Entertain” you. I suppose they COULD have some entertainment value, if you are so inclined. But spend the money at your own risk.
