Paid Game of the day: Jirbo Jam
We’ve seen plenty of tap-to-match games in the App Store. One more entertaining game in this category is Jirbo Jam, where the screen is populated with cute little animals.
This is how the game goes: When you see three or more heads which are matching, you tap to remove them. You can gain more points when you tap on a bigger group. Familiar game play, of course. This game has 25 levels. As you progress in the levels the number of jirbo heads are generated faster. Once again, not a new concept.
For all that, it’s a good game to play if have some time to kill. One problem is that it uses the same graphics that appear in the other Jirbo games. This game is better than some of the other games by Jirbo, but looking at it, you wouldn’t be able to tell the difference, since they all look alike.
I noticed another problem with the game though. The game is not sensitive enough to touch. Often you have to tap more than once as your tap just doesn’t register. And if you tap twice or more quick succession, nothing beyond your first tap gets registered. For an iPhone app, which is all about touch, there couldn’t be a worse problem.
The game is similar to FireDrop. But FireDrop has a considreable advantage thanks to superior graphics and better gameplay, and also because it’s free.
Oh yes, Jirbo Jam comes for a price. $0.99. Nonetheless, you can spend happy hours playing this game and seeing those animie characters will definitely bring a smile to your face.
You can complete this game in less than 30 minutes and it gives you a sense of accomplishment at having done so.
