As we promised, here is something tipsy again from the App store. This is a handy app, assuming that you like wine and you like jotting down your feelings about the wine on the fly. Well, if you have that much of a literary bent of mind, or if your life revolves around wine, then go ahead.
Simply put, this thing is a touch-screen digital diary to jot down your – wine (influenced/induced) thoughts and notes.
Now that’s not all. You can take a snapshot of the wine label, as well as browse through different types of wine. You can do the browsing through rating, type, varietal and pairing (for instance, the Wine Pad tells you that the White Table Wine pairs up with Seafood and its varietal is Chardonnay). O yes, you can take tasting notes.
Nice app, but way over-priced. However, if you are interested, there is a similar app (Beer Pad) exclusively for the beer-bugs. It is developed by the same developers –i.e. App Shop LLC.

This app is a bit broken as of now (20 Sept 2008). Text fields can’t be more than 30 or so characters without getting cut off and the wine varieties list is extremely short. Trying to review a Rose? You’re out of luck, no such wine exists in WinePad, or many other varieties. 2 out of 5.
Have had some issues, good looking app but requires some refinements to ensure prior records etc are not lost… Would give it 3 out of 5…
