Apple’s magic product. To hit the market in 2009!

Just the other day we came across a post where someone is trying hard not to sound irreverent about the august Apple way of delivering technologies of the future and fro the the present. Anand Ramachandran , apparently had a hallucinated and transcendent tête-à-tête with Steve Jobs (may be just after his official obituary). And then he wrote about it in one of the most sublime iPosts ever. Here are the relevant excerpts:

The iThing will revolutionize boring old things. Just like the iPhone revolutionized boring old phones said Apple supremo Steve Jobs, …The iThing is the neXTstep in a proud Apple tradition of ‘minimalist’ design that makes products progressively more expensive and less useful.

Actually, this project was being hatched long back. And Chiat/Day, Steve Jobs’ favorite ad agency planned an ad campaign about this iItem way back in the early 80s. In fact, we had an exclusive interview with Lee Clow , back in 1984 about this.  We have kept it secretly and digitally archived till date. However, now that the cat is out of the hat, we have decided to make it public, in typical Bloomberg inspired fashion. Here is a snapshot of what they are planning to do, come 2009:

The 2009 iOdyssey commercial:

Product Design: Minimalist. To the point of the absolute. Or the nothing.
Product Sleekness: To the point of invisibility.
Product Awesomeness: Well, anything “i” from Apple is an eye-opener. (Remember our 1984 Macintosh commercial) But this one is more. This does magic only when you think about it.
The Final Tag Line : Descartes said it. Apple did it. Introducing the final frontier of technology: iThing, therefore, I am.

Remember, you heard it first here!
