Apple’s Non-Disclosure Agreement for Developers
In an attempt to combat with the constant criticism for rejecting of applications, Apple has decided that the rejection note send to developers will now be under NDA (Non disclosure agreement). From now on, developers will see a Capitalized line “THE INFORMATION CONTAINED IN THIS MESSAGE IS UNDER NON-DISCLOSURE”, on top of all rejection notes.
This move (possibly) is to subdue wide publicity and to restrain developers from posting the rejection notes send from Apple’s desk. For Apple the move is perfect for keeping the developers mum. However, for developers this is nothing but a show down of autocracy.
Apple is yet to come up with a transparent rejection policy, and this is the main concern for developers.
The developer community are now worried that their applications can be rejected at the final phase, spelling lost of time and resource as there is no clear guideline on what to develop and what not to develop. A risk no one wants to take actually. Will this be sorted out soon?
