This is a nice app for students and medical graduates. What does it do? It gives you proper access to the established PubMed journal for free and on the fly. However, since this is a sort of a beta version, you only get to see abstracts.
But that itself is really handy as a ready reference. The thing that helps here is iPhone’s search options, and of course its touch-screen and palmtop convenience.
The full version is coming shortly and at the price of “a cup of coffee’’. This is supposed to provide full-text access to the PubMed database. The new PubSearchPlus will also include EZProxy support, enabling the users to access Scientific Journals through the PubMed Database even if they are outside the institute’s network. If the institute is subscribed to a particular journal the user gets access to it from the comfort of his/her room, with a cup of coffee.
That’s extremely efficient, if you ask any medical researcher.
