Google Mobile Map not updated for the iPhone

Another (Un) intentional omission from Google to teach iPhone users a sweet lesson to consider switching to Android phone, the iPhone has been left out from the latest update of Google mobile map. No word why Google did this?

The update brings some of the Google map website functionality on mobiles. The most significant features are street view and walking directions that brings street-level pictures of all mapped areas. Users can turn around and scan an area at multiple angles.

The update also brings the most accurate and up-to date direction guide for reaching a certain place from a certain location. Apart from these features, users who opt to walk instead of driving can access scenic detail of places they are passing.

The latest additions will make searching for restaurants, business establishments much easier for mobile users, but not for iPhone users. To know your walking direction, it is just a matter of a click now. Improved search speed and accuracy are the additional features with the update.

There is no word, whether this feature will come for the iPhone at all. Google seems very determined to punish us all, we are not sure about this either.
