iPhone short battery life is not a big deal!

So says the final verdict of the year old class-action lawsuit against Apple for limited iPhone battery life. Jose Trujillo sued Apple in July 2007 in Illinois state Court complaining Apple did not warn customers that the iPhone battery would slowly die and users need to replace the battery after some time that too for an exorbitant price, a pure consumer fraud lawsuit.

A US District Court Judge, Matthew F Kenelly finally dismissed the charge that the lawsuit has no ground for justification. In September 2007, Kenelly wrote:

Apple disclosed on the outside of the iPhone package that the battery has ‘limited recharge cycles and may eventually need to be replaced by Apple service provider. Under the circumstances, no reasonable jury could find that deception occurred.

On September 26 2008, the District Court dismissed the charge against Apple without a trial, a so called summary judgment. This is all good for Apple and we are sure lawsuits related with the iPhone battery will be a thing of the past.
