iPhone’s water incompatibility
If Kevin Kostner ever needed to use a phone in the Water World, he wouldn’t be carrying an iPhone. Even though he could use it as a light under the dark depths of the oceans. This is why:
I was laying on the beach in Ibiza last week soaking up the sun, with my beach bag of holiday essentials… huge un-expected wave came over us and woke us up, making a mad dash for our belongings and bags, one of which was home to my mates brand new iPhone 3G!… We tested the Apple iPhone 3G and it was completely dead, the iPod… died too.
The whole event is freak, you might argue. But at least it has the better safe-than-sorry value. Next time I go anywhere near the water, I am going to use some super hi-tech watertight iPhone case. Playing dice with nature is not a good idea even if you are gifted with Steve Almighty’s darling device.

since when has a mobile phone ever been waterproof? apple product or not
Hi ade,
This article is a quick look into the future and is an open challenge to all phone manufacturers in general and Apple in particular to bake a waterproof smartphone that we all might love to take along when we go for scuba diving (imagine making calls under water). Actually this is a dream. This water proof gadget as well might come very soon. Thanks for the comment
