Resetting iPhone when applications crash

With iPhone software version 2.1, crashing of the iPhone has become a very rare thing. However, it is good to know what to do when your iPhone sometimes act like it has seen a ghost. It will not respond to your tapping. Sometimes applications open, but just close again, strange! You are ifreezed.

You need to reset your iPhone. You can do this in two ways:

  1. Force quit the application by pressing down the home button for 5-6 seconds.
  2. Hold down the home button and the sleep/wake button to completely shut down the device.

Any of the steps above will fix minor issues. If the above tips do not fix the problem, you may need to take backup of your iPhone and restore it.
