As the name of the App suggests, “Health n Me” lends that special personal touch to your medical requirements. Coming from the XCube Labs (developers of the engaging iPhone games – FireDrop and Rescue Angel ) have offered something else this time and this one is equally neat as well.

Why is this app important? Suppose you are going to visit a doctor. Or you are on multiple medications. There will always be some nifty little nugget of information that you wished was on your palmtop. You also wanted to recall it the moment you wished it to be there without any hazards. Well, now that’s perfectly possible with this app.

How does it work?  It has six categories under which there are a number of subcategories. These categories include “Medical Summary”, “Add/Edit Medical History”, “Add/Edit General Info”, “Add/Edit Notes”, “Add/Edit Appointments”, “Add/Edit Attachments”.

The subcategories include features like Appointments, Allergies, Advance Directives, Medications, Health Conditions, Surgeries, vaccinations, Vital Signs, Physicians, Emergency Contacts, Insurance Details, Notes, Family History, height, weight, BMI, Family History, and many more.

Oho, before I forget the personal touch thing, if you have one of your photos saved in your device, you can use it there. And to add one more  thing you have a passcode lock system to keep your health/medical info secret.

User Interface: This app has one of the better UIs among apps in the Healthcare and Fitness category. The color theme is based on a red and an off-whitish combination. Two particular features are worth noting:

1. Notes: Take and make notes of your medical and health records
2. Attachments: Real smart idea this one, I thought. Check it out.

App Store reception: So far it has got a four and a half star reception and it’s worth that.

Missing link: Should support multiple patient records. However, when contacted on this, the developers said that they are working on this and a new version will soon be available, supporting multiple medical records.

Overall, spending 3 dollars for it is a good enough deal.
