What do you call a featureless iPhone ad where you see a dog more prominently than an iPhone? Well, ahem, that’s the case with the iPhone commercial made by Softbank for Japan. The ad runs like this:

A Japanese brother and sister enter, presumably their house, and then find their dear iPhone under the belly of their apparently dear white dog. The dog is very possessive about the iPhone.

However, the sister pulls it from under its belly and then makes a long distance call to the USA to het mother, who then listens to the dear sounds of the dear dog. As that continues, its curtains up as the iPhone 3G comes to the screen. And then Sotfbank.

No wonder, people in Japan think it’s kind’a weird . And the comments in youtube highlight the fact that after seeing this ad any one would like to have that (I must say pretty adorable) dog.
