Apple prospering though US is in recession: iPods shortage

The present economic condition in the country has affected many companies and organizations but, Apple is prospering. Following the impressive Black Friday discount sales, Apple retail Stores are now facing short supply of iPods. The shortage is spreading fast with Apple product resellers including Amazon.com, Best Buy, Wal-Mart and Crutchfield all reporting ‘no stock’ status for iPod touch, iPod nano and iPod Shuffle.

Apple’s iPod that brought immense change to the musical world has many more miles to run despite the concerns that it is high time for shelving it. For most families across America, shopping season is believed to have ended with Black Friday. Many people will further cut their spending following the announcement from National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) that America has been in recession since December 2007, but the sale of Apple iPods is not likely to slow down very soon. Industry analysts are predicting that Apple will make record sales even during this tough economic time.

Sales of the iPhone and Macs too have not slowed down drastically. In view of all these favorable demands it is now clear that this Cupertino Company will survive through the present financial turmoil un-affected.

Apple is trying its best to re-stock reseller channels.
