Christmas mix match game at the iPhone App Store: Jingle Jumble

With Christmas just around the corner, a lot of buzz is jazzing up the App Store. Christmas appa of different kinds are coming to the App Store almost every other hour.

Jingle Jumble is one of those apps, but with a difference. As its name might ring the bell, Jingle Jumble is a Christmas app with a twist. It’s a mix and match Christmas game.

This game is based on Santa’s tour through various spaces. And the fun is addictive. To make the Christmas merrier, the developers have clubbed in different worlds –the classic spaces of Toy Factory, Santa Claus Cabin, Reindeer Runway, and North Pole.

The real fun, however, begins when you enter the Arcade mode which rests just on the home screen, snuggled between other spaces. This one has some real fun stored in it. Let us hold back the surprises here to let you explore.

The interface: While you will keep finding Christmas Apps at the App Store by dozens during this time of the year, this application scores over all the others because of its beautiful interface.

Penned by Children’s illustrator Mike Boldt the slightly cartoon-esque touch to Santa brings it to new life on the iPhone’s touchscreen. The characters coupled with designer Dan Casteels’s sound effects, creates a really nice Christmas environment.

Note: The developers have also come up with another Jingly sounding app named Jumbalu Zoo. A similar app, built around the similar concept of multiple worlds but around a different theme. This one has a fantasy zoo theme with Mountains, Wetlands, Jungle, Savanna and ocean all at once on your palmtop with weird and funny looking animals created by the same artist.
