Google Adwords on iPhone

Don’t be surprised if this holiday season you get to see a lot of relevant buying options to add to your shopping cart whenever you run any random Google search form your iPhone. Google has just tweaked in their AdWord services for the advertisers into this mobile device. So from now on, you will see Google ads just the way it happens on your laptop or desktop to see it right on your palmtop.

Taking advantage of the full Internet browsing abilities of the iPhone Google has now gone just that step further and added full-fledged searching options to the iPhone and of course the G1.

What this means is that this will enhance the those advertisers who have been using the Google AdWords service will now be able to run ad campaigns exclusively and extensively on on the iPhone and t-Mobile’s G1.

Alexandra Kenin, product marketing manager for Google’s mobile ads team was quoted in the Google Mobile Blog yesterday:

Today, the Google mobile ads team is announcing a new campaign-level option that allows those of you who are AdWords advertisers to show your desktop text and image ads on the iPhone, the T-Mobile G1, and other mobile devices with full (HTML) Internet browsers. …The ads will have many of the same benefits as our standard mobile ads, such as the delivery of mobile-specific calls-to-action and reaching mobile users that are searching with their phones more than ever — especially during the holiday season.

With recession this new advertising space might not seem really lucrative now. But in the long run, this promises booming growth – from $1.4 billion in 2007 to a staggering $10 billion by 2013.
