Not a bad time to start spreading a soothing rumor, firmware 2.2.1 comes with Push notification and over-the-air MobileMe syncing with Notes support.

The rumor comes along with iPhone screenshot that displays update badges on the Notes and Calendar application icons (believed to be 100% fake).
