This is useful for those of us whose iPhones and iPods have been jam packed with apps of all sorts. We have all seen this happening to this us time and again, especially with 7-8 pages of apps.

Even if you arrange them sometimes you just wanted that you could reach the home screen as effortlessly as possible.

Previously we needed to flip through those multiple homescreens. Now, with the new firmware (2.2) , you just need to press the home button to get back to the first home screen. This can make life a lot easier among the huge number of apps.
