Chuck the Ball from Makeshift Games has a unique gaming experience to give iPhone users who love playing innovative games. Chuck the ball is here to test the speed of your thought and action (tapping and swiping). The game is designed to give maximum fun to all iPhone users who have a taste for puzzle and swiping fun.
Gameplay
The game interface reminds me of iChase and Pac-Man. While iChase and Pac-Man are the same kind of game with different themes, Chuck the ball is something new though the layout looks somewhat similar. In Chuck the Ball, you have to guide a ball to wherever there are stars and avoid hitting the obstacles at the same time. You define the path of the ball by inserting direction arrows with the swipe of your finger. The ball follows the direction of the arrows.
You are eliminated if the ball rolls into any of the obstacles and also if you exceed the time given for gobbling up the stars. Master the easy level first to know the art of playing the more challenging medium and hard levels.

The Challenges
The game is easy to learn, but somewhat hard to master making it one of the most challenging games in the App Store. The easy level has 15 mazes, which takes no time in completing if you are fast in picking up the way to play. The Medium level has 40 mazes and the Hard level has 45 mazes in which some are not that easy to crack.
Each of the difficulty levels has bronze, silver and gold medals to award. You earn bonus points if you complete the levels well before the allotted time. Completing the levels in time is one big challenge of this game. In some of the levels, extra time can be earned by rolling the ball into clocks that display plus signs. Those clocks that display the minus sign subtract your time if the ball rolls into them.
There are blocks, spikes, round blocks, etc that obstruct the way. You have to swipe to insert the direction arrows throughout the paths the ball should roll. Speed and accuracy are what you need to have to play this game. For some levels you really need puzzle cracking skill to complete the level on time by finding out the shortest possible path for the ball to roll.
Try this game to experience the fun of touch, swipe and tapping. Chuck the Ball makes perfect use of the iPhone’s touch interface.
Coming update
The developer is planning for an update to provide the option of playing the game in “Freeplay” mode without the timer. Will let you know soon.
