iPhone software 2.2.1 and iPhone SDK 2.2.1 released
Apple on Tuesday released iPhone 2.2.1 for both the first generation iPhone and the iPhone 3G. The update isn’t a major one as there are no new features. The update note reads:
“This update contains bug fixes and improvements, including the following: Improved general stability of Safari. Fixed issue where some images saved from Mail do not display correctly in the Camera Roll.”
To upgrade to the latest software, connect your device to iTunes and check for software update and click the Download and Install option.
A special warning to jailbroken iPhone users, do not instantly go for the update. Your device could be bricked, so says the experts.
Apple also released iPhone SDK 2.2.1, which goes along with the iPhone 2.2.1 software update. The SDK had no API changes and no separate API Diff documents. Both the releases are for minor bug fixes.
