iPhone tip: How to disable SMS preview pop up on the iPhone?
What would happen if you leave your iPhone on the table and go out for a quick walk? Any Tom and Harry can come, take a quick look at everything inside and walk away coolly without you knowing anything about it. Yes, if you don’t have pass code enabled. Another most embarrassing feature about the iPhone is that anyone sitting beside you can read your SMS if you have not disabled the SMS preview option in the settings page. The preview stays there on the screen for about 30 seconds, time enough to read even the content of a long message.

Kill that preview pop up of SMS! It’s a nuisance. How?
- Set pass code for your iPhone: Go to Settings>General>Pass Code Lock
- Enter the four digit number twice (Don’t forget this number)
- Select the duration after which the pass code is required to unlock your iPhone
- Put off the Show SMS Preview option.
This will stop displaying preview of your text messages. If you are not very patient about entering the pass code every time you want to unlock the iPhone, select the duration of the Pass code as 1 hour or 4 hours
