Pudge: A marine game with nice graphics to test your iPhone tilting and taping skills

pudg-a-marine-game-with-nice-graphics-to-test-your-iphone-tilting-and-taping-skillsPudge is an underwater game where you need to master both the accelerometer and the tapping/swishing actions over the touchscreen.  The challenge however, is just to float along the blue waters and not hit anything either at the top or at the bottom and finally pick up a shining trophy as a reward. Once you hit anything the fish just goes for a few tosses and then simply expires.

Gameplay: The game can be played with both one and two player modes. Both modes are engaging. One caution, the game is very simple at the core and pretty easy to pick up, but very difficult to master as it tests your skills with the iPhone accelerometer and also your tapping/swishing skills.

Note: Try playing the twin player mode alone! That will really test you iPhone tapping/swishing over  the touchscreen skills as you will be nudging two “Pudges” simultaneously to two different directions.

Graphics: The graphics of the game does call for attention. The hanging underwater cliffs, the rugged cliffs jutting out of the sands, silhouettes of sharks  and other objects floating around, white bubbles and the flowing blue water all contribute to the ambience of the game.

Sounds: A nice bubbly aqua sound with a bit of a countdown audio effect embedded into it.

All in all a pretty good buy for $0.99. If you have liked iChase or Tunnels, you will love this game.
