Some food for thought: Kraft’s iFood brings in smart cooking ideas to your iPhone

ifood Just after squeezing in two slices of bread in a hectic lunch I came back to my workstation and was just wondering how to make the dinner a better deal in a non-fussy way. While thinking about that I was also browsing through the App Store when I came across this real neat app that puts the both the kitchen and the grocery right into your pocket.

This app does two basic things -1. it presents a comprehensive list of smart cooking recipes from the kraftfoods.com and 2. gives detailed map of stores.

1. Different flavors of food throughout the day. Delicious, fmouthwatering and smart ideas for different menus throughout the day- be it about smart snacks, beefy breakfasts or mouthwatering dinners.

2. The iFood Store Locators makes for real no hassle shopping. The app shows the list and directions to go to the nearest store in minute aisle by aisle details. You can even add custom ingredients and use the robust shopping list functionality.

That itself is a neat deal for 99 cents. However, that’s not all as the interface makes preparing those recipes real easy.

Interface: Pretty easy to navigate. There is this simple page by page and card by card instructions. However, I personally find the Video instructions for how to prepare a dish to be particularly handy. Let me confess this, I am a good enough foody but pretty much of a jerk when it times to cooking! That’s where the video instruction feature of the iPhone came real handy. After being back from the office I can now just put the iPhone on the kitchen self and let it teach me how to prepare that impossible combination –a delicious and healthy recipe that can be made quickly!
