As Kevin reported yesterday, the iPhone 2.2.1 was released yesterday and it has come up with some fixes. Here is the process to get the update on your iPhone:

You are familiar with the process already if you have been using the iPhone and iTunes for sometime. Just connect the iPhone to the your Mac or PC and select the iPhone from the Devices list. The update does not need synching, it only needs iTunes 8.

Click the “Check for Update” from the right hand pane and then click “Download and Install” from the pop up dialog box. The update begins automatically once the download is finished.

Once the update is finished the iPhone will restart and will be ready to hit the road again in a few minutes.
