What was that latest book on management somebody was telling you about? Or was it a book about time management? Should’ve scribbled it somewhere right then, eh?
If you had this cool app called Next Read on your iPhone (or iPod touch, sure), you wouldn’t have faced this problem. With its incredibly polished and smooth interface, Next Read is a must have for anyone looking to keep track of a precious wish list of books to read.

With Next Read, you’ll be able to avoid the common frustration of not being able to remember the book titles that you want to purchase or borrow. For any regular reader, this is a no-brainer. Just go to the App Store and get this app already.
Ok, now that I have your attention, let’s get to the details.
Next Read allows you to add books on the fly. You can search by title, keyword, subject or ISBN. Once you’ve found the book (and that takes only a few seconds) ad it to your list, and give it a ranking based on who has recommended the book. As in, if it’s something recommended by a friend, it will rank higher in your list than if it’s something you’ve just read about in a magazine. There’s plenty more to Next Read, and we’ll go into it in a minute, but this is the feature I absolutely love. You see, we avid readers are generally considered loners, people who like being cooped up in their own world day and night. But the truth is, reading is a highly social activity–same as watching movies, or vacationing, or whatever. And Next Read gets that exactly right!
With Next read on your device the best books are just shakes away. You can search online for anything that comes to your mind and shake your device to let it show up similar books.
How to use
When you open the application, there are four main tabs at the top of the screen, and four below. The Suggested section displays the list of whatever books you’ve added to your list. You can also add books from this page. The Lists screen displays the sources from where you have compiled your list. The Search section allows you to search Amazon.com. You can add any of the search results to your favorite list. The Source screen lets you add information about who recommended these books. You can give ratings to the sources, and Next Read will automatically sort your reading list based on what books have the highest rating, that is, what books come most highly recommended.
User friendliness
The online search option is really handy when you are just cant recall the exact title of some book. You can just enter part of the title or name of the author–the search results are accurate and fast, and will never disappoint you. When you are inside Amazon, you have the option to add the books to the app and the full information about the price and the way to purchase it is always there.
And it doesn’t stop at just creating and maintaining a list. You can even import wish lists of your friends who are registered on Amazon.com, or via Wi-Fi from your friends using this application. Moreover, you can also Email or share your list to your friends from within the application.
All the fields and entries are editable, which makes the app really handy. You now have everything in this app to manage, track and share your reading list. A must have application for book lovers!
