After Tuesday’s grand preview of the iPhone OS 3.0, Apple is mailing all developers stating that this is the best time to start developing for the iPhone and the iPod touch. In the short invitation, Apple mentioned the addition of over 1,000 new API’s and added that the beta iPhone SDK for OS 3.0 brings an amazing range of new technological enhancements. 

For those developers who have been watching over from across the fence, confused either to develop for the iPhone platform, this could be the right time to join the maddening race. The new APIs provide support for applications to communicate with hardware accessories attached to the iPhone or iPod touch.
