The Game

Lucifer and the whole of his army are attempting to invade Heaven again. At one end of your device is Heaven’s gate and at the other end is Hell’s gate. From Hell, ugly and fearful creatures such as locusts, dwarves, giants, magicians, dragons, giant scorpion like creatures, demons would come toward Heaven. You have to take down these creatures by building strategic defense towers. Your weapons consists of arrows, bombs, water canon, storm, ice, magic and earthquake, which all can be purchased from the gold credits you earn from killing the creatures from Hell.

As the creatures parade through the meandering path, they are bombarded and you earn your points depending on the number of enemies killed. The trick of winning this exciting game depends a lot on placing the weapons at the right time and right place, upgrading the weapons and selling off the weapons wisely to place more powerful weapons. The creatures have unique specialties, some are resistant to certain type of weapons, to determine this makes the game challenging. 

You can play in either the Challenge mode or Classic mode. In both the modes you can choose from three levels, easy, medium and hard. In the challenge mode, you have limited lives or limited numbers of towers to build depending on the gameplay you choose, but in the Classic mode you have 20 lives and can build towers all the way from Hell to Heaven’s gate. If one enemy soldier enters Heaven escaping all the bombardment, you lose a dear life. 

Special features

The game automatically pauses when you decide to build more towers, and while you research. This gives time for players to figure the best strategy to move forward. The graphical representation of the creatures are unique, which somehow compensates the absence of a good audio content. However, for that you’ve the option to play your own music.

The challenging theme of defending heaven, the various game modes, impressive graphics and most of all for being free, TapDefense is perhaps the most interesting tower defense game in the App Store.
