Jailbroken iPhone App Store goes live with one application

app-store-iconThe launch of the jailbroken iPhone App Store has finally happened, where all applications rejected by Apple would find a respectable place. The Cydia App Store went live with one paid application Cyntact priced at $0.99 available for users to download. More applications would be added.

Users who have the latest version of Cydia can directly access the store and download applications by paying through Amazon payment gateway said Jay Freeman. Payment through paypal is said to be on the way.

Jay Freeman, the developer of Cydia and the host of Cydia Store says that the fewer the number of applications in the store, the better chance to find what you are searching for. Apple is yet to respond to the opening of the new iPhone application store.
