New Sudoku style puzzle game for iPhone and iPod touch users
If you are a Sudoku fan or if you like grid -based numbers puzzles, you are going to like Shiroku. This number-based puzzle game comes with 100 levels with a new twist. It’s a number based puzzle game that tests your hand-eye co-ordination as well as your numerical abilities.
The objective of the game is to beat the CPU player in a fast and addictive race of time. As the levels start you will see multiple grids and squares and one highlighted row. You need to select a number from this grid quickly, else the app automatically chooses one number.
When you select a number, the CPU also chooses a number which is a negative number . And also, after you choose a number, the highlighted grid rotates 90 degrees on the basis of the number chosen by you. The slider stays longer when it is in horizontal position, when it is in vertical position the slider changes somewhat fast. So you need to be double quick when the slider rotates to a vertical position, in order to select the next grid you want to be in.
Features:
1. 100 challenging levels, starting easy and ending insanely hard.
2. Incredible computer player intelligence.
3. High scores and time bonuses are recorded for each level.
4. 100 full color background images unlocked while you play.
5. Replay any level you completed and see if you can get a new high score.
The game is easy in the initial levels. But it needs real number spotting talent, quick fingers, fast thinking and grid selecting abilities. That is so because the game is timed and the CPU player picks up speed as the levels advance.
Interface: The game uses different colors for positive and negative numbers as well as bonus tiles. The slider also has a sleek whitish appearance. However, the images of different cities and places after each level does give a treasure hunt kinda feeling to the game.
Plus, there is the option to listen to your favorite music while playing the game.
Tricks:
1. The trick of the game lies in choosing the right grids, and not always, necessarily the highest number in a particular grid.
2. Another way is to select the golden tiles -10,15 and 20 as soon as possible.
3. Try to avoid touching the negative numbers.
The game is quite a steal for $0.99. However, if you want to test it, the developers have just released a Lite version as well.
