Apple netbook to be manufactured by Foxconn
Foxconn, the Electronics manufacturing company that assembled the iPhone for Apple is rumored to have been chosen as the manufacturing partner to produce some unconfirmed Apple product.
Industry sources said that the product in line could in all probability be the long awaited Apple netbook.
Earlier, there was a widespread rumor about the coming of Apple netbook when Commercial times reported that Taiwan based Wintek would start shipping touch panels to Apple for manufacturing the Apple netbook.
Adding more credibility to the rumor of the Apple netbook, some unknown sources told Dow Jones that the touch panels are sized between 9.7 inches and 10 inches. This sounds like an intermediary product between the iPhone and the Mac Notebooks.
There are also reports that Apple is contracting other manufacturers in Asia. However, Foxconn seems to be the potential manufacturer being considered for the contract. Apple is tight lipped about all these rumors.
