If you are waiting for the launch of the Palm Pre that runs on the much anticipated webOS, you need to rethink. Palm mini Pre is also coming latest by the fall of 2009 according to a report on techcrunch. The device would be slightly smaller and slimmer and would of course run on webOS. We, have earlier reported that Apple is also planning to launch iPhone lite in order to reach out to more consumers. This sounds like a tough competition and seems the two companies are going to fight to the death.

Back in January, when Palm announced the coming of the Palm Pre, I remember hearing a rumor that the next device the company is planning to assemble is Centro 2 with webOS. This Centro 2 was also to be launched by Sprint by the fall of 2009. Is this remake plan of Centro 2 mistaken as the Palm mini Pre? We would know soon.
