Video recording and voice dialing coming with the next generation iPhone

‘Seeing is believing,’ so says the old cliche. I am dog tired of reporting about the next generation iPhone and about the bundle of features coming with it. Wish WWDC 2009 was scheduled earlier than June or at least the present time is already June. Nevertheless, here is good news. It’s almost certain that video recording and voice dialing are coming with the next generation iPhone.

video-recording-copyFresh photo evidence within iPhone OS 3.0 beta (un)officially has confirmed the seriousness of Apple to bring these most wanted features. With this, there also is a rumor that front facing camera is likely to come with the next iPhone hardware upgrade to support video conferencing.

The screenshots of video recording feature has a similar camera application interface of the existing iPhone with addition of icons to toggle between video recording and still photo capture. The icons are placed on the right hand bottom of the camera application ( see image).

MacRumors reports that the camera is not functional in iPhone 3.0 beta and the interface also is not accessible by default for now.

Apart from video recording interface some other features unearthed are auto focus camera and voice control. Voice control would be particularly handy when iPhone users are on the wheel. There are more to be discovered; we’ll keep you posted.
