How to sync files from Mac to iPhone wirelessly: The Missing sync for iPhone 2.0 is here
You probably would have heard of a man who wrote the major content of his best selling novel on a smartphone. This is possible because there happened to be a way to transfer files from the phone to the PC and vice versa. One major drawback with the iPhone is the inability to do this in a seamless way.
Hey, actually there is a super simple way to do file transfers between your computer and iPhone/iPod touch. You need a handy software on your machine and need to install some free applications on your device to transfer any file, whether it be a doc, PDF, photo, music files, to do list, any file that you can think of seriously. You can do this without connecting your device with the machine, it’s all Wi-Fi power.
The Missing Sync for iPhone is an innovative software from Mark/Space that provides maximum file management capabilities to iPhone and Mac users. With this software on your machine and the free compatible applications on your iPhone, you can work wherever you are. You make changes on your iPhone, the changes would be updated on your machine and whatever changes you make on your machine would be updated when the device and machine are synced.
Fliq Notes, Fliq Docs, Fliq Tasks are all compatible with The iPhone Missing sync. Users can transfer file folders from their Mac to their iPhone/ iPod touch using Fliq Docs. You can also sync the list of tasks on iCal to your iPhone using Fliq Tasks. With Fliq Tasks, you’ll be able to create, edit, categorize tasks either on your iPhone or your Mac and sync the changes made wirelessly.
The only requirement is that your device and the Mac machine should be on the same Wi-Fi network. All the Fliq iPhone applications are available in the App Store for free. This is like passing a piece of paper to the other person right? I find this feature a real killer.
With Missing Sync iPhone, iPhone users can finally dream of compiling books right on the iPhone.
In order to install the software, your Mac machine needs to be running Mac OS X 10.4.11 or later or Mac OS X 10.5.6 or later and your iPhone/iPod touch should be on OS 2.1 or later.
Now, to start using all the above mentioned features, you have to purchase The Missing Sync for iPhone 2.0, the update is free for those who own 1.0 version of the software. The latest version for PC is also coming soon.
