iFighter is finally here: iPhone game review

The wait is over, iFighter, the full version of the 2D flying, bombing and shooting game from EpicForce is finally here. Victor wrote a review about the iFighter lite version, the concept is the same however, the level of excitement and the degree of addiction is much much higher here. Get ready for the treat. 

Your mission remains the same. You are the ace pilot and are delegated with the responsibility to cripple the Nazis strategic military powers. Relive the Second World War. You have unlimited fire power but have only three bombs when you start out. However, in this full version you can collect extra bombs as you go on shooting down the targets. 

iFighter gives you the choice to select tilt control, swipe control or Joy pad control option to fly the plane. Personally I prefer the tilt motion as it allows me to view the full screen of the iPhone. I find the Joy pad clunky, don’t know whether you’ll like it or not though. 

If you select the tilt control, you can choose either to let the plane shoot automatically or tap to shoot. Keep the auto fire on, if you want to concentrate more on winning. When you start the game the plane would start shooting automatically, you just need to tilt, slide or use the joy pad to direct the gunfire on enemy tanks, vehicles, ships, anti aircraft guns, etc. 

As the mission continues, you’ll have to collect the badges, stars and gun powers (these are the points and credits) from the destroyed enemy targets. I like the concept of adding helper planes to the main bombing plane in this paid version. 

There is a neat health bar display at the bottom of the screen. You gotta watch out your health and also must be quick in revitalizing it when the chance comes.  As expected the sound effects and associated music of the game are really engaging.

You are given the choice to toggle off the game sound and music to listen to your favorite songs while you are on the game. I recommend playing the game as it is though. You won’t be disappointed with the graphics either.
