Noble Paths of Buddha comes to the App Store: iPhone app review
This application review is a humble dedication to Andrew who has a Buddhist Prayer wheel in his drawer and chants ” Om mani padme….” whenever he is kind of free and more when he is in trouble. I think he got that Mani wheel when he visited Tibet three years back. We have a new application in the App Store that contains the Noble Paths, which Buddha long ago preached are the golden rules for attaining enlightenment.
If you are familiar with the virtues of Benjamin Franklin, you would have an idea what this Noble Paths app is. Noble Paths is the Oriental and Buddhist way of finding peace and tranquility as Virtues was to Franklin. The Noble Eightfold paths are:
1. Right view
2. Right intention
3. Right speech
4. Right action
5. Right livelihood
6. Right effort
7. Right mindfulness
8. Right concentration
Noble Paths is from Equilibrium Enterprises, Inc who also developed that Virtues application. You have to use both the apps in the same manner to beat stress and for personal development.
Set a specific timeline in days or week, select any of the eight paths and live a practical life following the path for the specified time. If you are confused where to start, you can let the app select a random path for you. Once you start, you need to be focused. Live through all the eight paths and see yourself changing for good.
As you live your days following the enlightenment paths, rate your own performance on how well you observe those golden rules using the application. Buddha taught these Eight Paths helps in achieving self-awakening and for attaining wisdom and for eradicating suffering, greed, hatred and delusion.
Noble Paths is for people who wants to be good and those of you who want to live life in peace.
