There are many iPhone applications that would remind you of the wonderful holiday spots you’ve visited. I am all nostalgic about the water, soft sands, the palm shade, the giant umbrellas, the rough but artistic furniture blah blah.

SnowGlobe Maker is all for having a quick artistic fun that you need every now and then. Select the base and background that you like, add the inserts that you want on your creation and save it instantly on your iPhone or iPod touch photo gallery to email to friends, use as wallpaper, etc.
I personally like the sunny day background, the tiki hut as the right insert, air plane as the sky insert coconut in the center and dog or cat on the left. Yes, I find all the inserts very thoughtful.
I see this application used for testing artistic talents of children by letting them create snow globes.
The option to shake and let it snow adds fun element to the this neat and clean application.

I was wondering why the developer did not give the option to mail directly from the application rather than going back to the photo gallery to do so.

So glad you like SnowGlobe Maker, and that it brought back memories of the Virgin Islands. (I love St. John!) We’ll be adding email direct from the app when Apple releases the version 3.0 system update, which includes excellent in-app email support.
My kids LOVE this application. The moose with the lei is precious. It is fun to combine the different elements to create settings, to match moods or whatever. Fun stuff!
I am using my own creation as the wallpaper on my iPhone. Neat and clean.

Jimun– There’s no snow in the Beach Edition; instead you get floating particles of sand. The Winter Edition has snow.
I’ve had this app for over a week and really enjoy it. My wife is using it to produce cool backgrounds for her iPhone — great vibe as we prepare for the summer! The falling sand is a neat effect, as well.
