Here is one game you’d definitely love if you are a fan of space shooter games. Space Deadbeef from IDP is here to keep you glued on your iPhone for hours.

The amazing sounds of shooting missiles and realistic kinda explosions are the main features that I like most in this game. The appeal of the game also lies in the fact that all of these great features come free of cost.

You are in command of a space ship, you have lots and lots of missiles, but you have countless enemies out there. The chances of survival lies in how well you can dodge from enemy missiles and how accurately you can take them down. You have to unleash your tapping and dragging skills on the iPhone to beat this game.

The slower you are the stronger the enemies become. Some enemies would shoot powerful missiles other smaller ones would come to bump into your ship and crash it. You have to drag your ship up and down either to dodge the missiles or avoid bumping into enemy ships. You’ve to tap on the targets to shoot your missiles. 

You can release more powerful missiles by tapping down on your ship. The strength of the weapon is equivalent to how long you hold down on the screen. 

One feature that disappoints me in this game is the integration of controlling the ship’s direction and targetting. If your ship is at the bottom of the screen and are shooting an enemy coming from top of the screen, you’ll see that the ship also goes up while you shoot, which I consider is a bad implementation. 

However, this is one small gap that you usually choose to ignore when you are on the game. 

Space Deadbeef is an excellently crafted shooting game, enriched with killer graphics and sound effects. 

One hit eliminates you, however it does not throw you back to the beginning of the game. You’ll just need to play from the level you were yanked.
