Apple and Steve Jobs’ health

Will you stop using/purchasing Apple products the day Steve Jobs cease to be with Apple? Do you think the quality of Apple products would degrade if this Apple visionary steps down as the head? For me the answer is a big “NO.”

steve-jobsApple Stakeholders and Partners in some way over reacts when it comes to Jobs’ health and the share market goes haywire too. Whenever, there is a little news leak about Jobs’ health, Apple share plummets. Over the past years, we all have thought Apple and Steve Jobs are a single deity, which is inseparable.

The concept of “Jobs’ Apple or Apple’s Jobs,” however, seem to have changed a little in the past six months. Tim Cook has piloted the company efficiently in the absence of the iconic leader. People continue to be lured by the attractive and polished Apple products. The company recently sold a million iPhone 3GS in just three days under the efficient Jobs’ deputy.

The market reaction to Steve Jobs health have changed a bit there. Apple shares up to now has not plummeted when the news of Jobs’ liver transplant two months back was revealed, though the news infuriated shareholders and partners for the secretive way how Apple operates. They seem to be more interested (as always) about the health of Jobs rather than suggesting ways to run the company well in his absence.

Apple still eagerly awaits the return of Steve Jobs. Apple fans too await for his return and also wish quick recovery. However, it is time for Apple as a company and we as readers and observers to realize that Apple can survive without Jobs. Apple is said to have set the product plan for the next five years, which is really futuristic and impressive. There is no question of quality degradation there.

At this juncture, the company ought to consider finding a good leader who has the calibre to run the company as good as Steve Jobs. Tim Cook though temperamentally different from Steve Jobs have handled affairs that were specific to Jobs and this indicates that he could possibly be the apple to be picked if Steve Jobs has to step down.
