With the first adult content finding its way to the App Store (more are coming), it is time to know how to enable restriction on your iPhone. This would make sure that your little ones do not have access to adult rated applications. Here is what you need to do:
1. Go to ‘Settings’ on your device
2. Select ‘General’
3. Go to ‘Restrictions’
4. Tap on ‘Enable Restriction’
You’ll be asked to enter a pass code (this is the secret pin to disable and enable restriction). Enter a code that is easy to remember and scroll down to the bottom of the page. Tap on Apps and specify the restriction age as 17+.
Once this is done, all applications that contain adult content would not be visible on the iPhone.
This would effectively hide the applications from unintended users, that’s well and good.
The down side, however, is the same painful process of disabling and enabling the feature whenever you want to access or block the select applications.
