If you are wondering what the new iPhone 3G S has to offer, take a quick look. The ‘S’ is all for speed.

Voice Control: One of the killer features of the new iPhone 3G S is the option to make calls just by telling the name of the contact or phone number. Apart from this, you can also command your phone to play any songs in you playlist. You can also ask the device to tell you the name of the song that is being played. This feature would be handy when you are on the wheel or are too lazy to browse through the contacts page to make calls.

Digital Compass: The digital compass on the iPhone 3G S tells you your current location and also tells you which way you are heading making use of the built in GPS feature on the device. 

Cut Copy and Paste: The long awaited Copy Paste feature comes with this new Apple device. You can use the feature across applications on the phone.

MMS and tethering would be available if only the service provider agrees to enable them. AT&T says no to the features for now. We are out of luck there.

You can either choose the 16GB version for $199 or the 32GB version for $299, come June 19, 2009.

Note: Some of the features mentioned above would come with iPhone OS 3.0 upgrade to the present iPhone 3G version and the first generation iPhone. Features like video camera are specific to iPhone 3G S.
